An Introduction to Intimacy Workshop
Whether we’re improvising scenes or working on a scripted play, there comes a time
when lips meet in a peck or passionate kiss, when hands touch, when bodies come
close in a hug or other physical contact. These moments of intimacy can be beautiful
but also restricted when we don’t know what contact our scene partner is and isn’t ok
with. However, it is when we do know where our boundaries lie, when we know how
to express and respect them, that the magic happens.
This workshop is an introduction to how to work in a consent-forward environment so
that we can produce more intimate work in an atmosphere where everybody feels
included and respected.
In a world based on “yes, and”, we will be having a look at how learning to say no
can lead to moments of deeper intimacy and connection.
