We will explore the Meisner repetition exercise to find the truth of the moment between the performers, then explore how this generates a scene. Examination of the discovered subtext will illuminate the possible themes that a drama could take. The audience is really important for examining the truth of the scene. Behaviour and silence are key elements that reduce the need to “act”, instead using the truth of the moment to generate story. The course is for those interested in improving their acting and those interested in giving their audiences a more rounded experience, allowing them emotion, philosophy and change.
