Soledad Cardigni
Guest Instructor
Soledad is an Argentine improviser, teacher, stage creator, and director based in Barcelona. She has been teaching for over 20 years, initially focusing on improv and character creation, and later expanding her practice to include physical theatre, movement, and dance. Her work explores what emerges at the crossroads of artistic languages, using the body and improvisation as tools for connection, dialogue, and creation.
She holds a degree in Performing Arts from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and has trained at the Jacques Lecoq School. In Buenos Aires, she performed in and helped develop a wide range of improvisational formats. Currently, she teaches at Teatracció (physical theatre), Espai Piluso (clown), and Rogelio Rivel Circus School, where she teaches drama and movement for physical theatre. She directs Minusas Teatre, a company where improvisation, music, and physical theatre collide in unexpected ways, approached through a feminist perspective that questions representation, power, and presence on stage. Soledad has led intensive workshops internationally, including at Berlin es Impro, Festival Mínimas (Barcelona), Festival Va de Impro (Valladolid), Los Pleimóvil (Santiago de Chile), Festival Irreverentes, and the Oslo International Theatre Festival. She has shared her Physical Surrealism workshop across Europe and Latin America. |
