Ellie Brewster

Ellie Brewster is a theatre-maker based in London. Their most recent projects
include their solo clown show LINDA(?) performed at Camden People’s Theatre and directing Let the B*TCH Out at Voila Festival which is an interactive performance exploring gender and anger.
Ellie lived in Berlin 2019-2022, where she graduated from arthaus.berlin and Rose Bruford College achieving a MFA in Embodied Devised Theatre in 2021. She was an artist resident at The Grotowski Institute, Poland in 2022 and in July 2024 took part in the Odin Home Festival in Denmark. She has taught theatre to children in London arts centres. Their most proud project they recently worked on is leading a workshop at L’Art Rue in Tunisia with young mothers and using creativity to express their voices.
Ellie’s work values curiosity, honesty and community. Theatre has always been a place holder in their life whether that is making their own work or supporting that of others. Their personal research often centres around lived experiences working with playfulness and imagery as a mode of discovery.
